Sanctuary for Wellness, Relaxation, and Holistic Treatments

Massage Center In Portsmouth, NH

Our Mission:

We believe that you need a place to escape the stress of daily life. A place where you can unwind, relax and rejuvenate physically, mentally, and emotionally. At The Massage and Wellness Collective, we offer a wellness center and a sanctuary where you can restore the balance of your body, treat your senses, and reenergize your soul.

We believe that you need a sanctuary. Though your home is a place where you can rest, we offer a sanctuary where you are surrounded by a serene, relaxed, and safe atmosphere. Instead of the humdrum of daily living, you are transported to a place where there is a unique harmony, balance, and warmth that even your home can’t provide.

We can provide individualized solutions with a full suite of massage and wellness services. Our primary focus is knowing the person, understanding their needs, and providing the perfect treatment for them. We will design the ideal combination of modalities that suit your specific needs to ensure that you can achieve wellness.

Why a Community & Not a Business

We are aware that there are countless locations, offering massage and holistic treatments. Instead, we provide you with an experience, a sanctuary—somewhere you can retreat to, wind down, and feel at home. We also provide individualized services, so everyone you interact with, is aware of your identity, your stories, and your preferences. The center’s main goal and primary focus, is to get to know you as a person, recognize what you need, and which treatments will suit you and work best for you. When designing services for you, we will mix modalities to craft an individualized healing therapy, that will be exactly what you need.

Why? Simply, because we believe that the key to wellness, lies in connection – to your Amesbury New Hampshire community, to other individuals, and more importantly to yourself.

Janice is a deeply intuitive and highly skilled bodywork and massage therapist whose practice is rooted in both ancient traditions and modern therapeutic techniques. Her toolkit is as diverse as her journey: Thai massage, myofascial release, sports massage, craniosacral therapy, facilitated release, deep tissue work, and more. But beyond technique, it is Janice’s presence; attuned, compassionate, and grounded that sets her apart. She listens not just with her hands, but with her whole being, allowing the body to guide the session and reveal what is needed.

Drawing from both Eastern philosophies and Western anatomy, Janice blends structural precision with energetic sensitivity. Her work is not just about relieving pain or tension, it is about restoring balance, igniting the body’s innate capacity to heal, and holding space for transformation. Whether working with athletes, trauma survivors, or those simply seeking peace, Janice brings the wisdom of her global teachers and the intuition of a lifelong healer to every session.

Wellness Center Guidelines and Policies

Massage and Wellness Collective works to provide the ideal sanctuary for all who join us. Like any community, we follow guidelines to ensure everyone sharing our space has a relaxing and enjoyable experience. To make the most of your visit, we kindly request that you:

Massage and Wellness Collective in Portsmouth, NH
  • Arrive 10 minutes early for your session. Give your relaxation a head start! This also gives us time to ensure we understand your needs. Allow enough time for parking and preparing for your session – it’s best to be in a calm, relaxed place before starting your session. If you arrive late, we cannot extend the session as there is usually another client booked in directly afterwards.
  • Enter the Welcome Room through the side door. There’s no formality here – come in and make yourself at home.
  • Keep your mobile on silent. Don’t steal the time away from yourself! You are of course welcome to step outside to take any urgent calls privately.
  • Leave the little ones as children can’t accompany you during massage and treatment sessions. It’s okay for you to take this time for yourself! Caring for yourself allows you to care for others.
  • Prepare for your treatment. You can undress to whatever degree is comfortable for you. While all oils used are water soluble and designed not to stain clothes, it is best not to wear new clothing.
  • Enjoy your treatment. While your body is being relaxed and revived, take the time to also rest your mind. Try to focus on the enjoyment of your treatment and ignore any distractions or intrusions from the outside world.
  • Float back to earth. After your treatment, you will be left in the wellness studio to redress, collect your items, and return to the welcome room. After we take payment, feel free to sit, close your eyes, and savour how good you feel.
  • Make your next appointment. To get the most out of your treatment, it is best to repeat every 4 weeks. Make your next appointment immediately so you can be guaranteed the day and time that best suits. Prioritize your self care!
  • 24 hours’ notice is provided for cancellations. To cover our lost time, late cancellations will be charged for the service you select
